I love leading workshops on fiction by other writers, but I can’t help thinking how much better I understand the craft elements employed in my own work. Is my fiction the best example? No, of course not. But it represents the work I know best, the work I remember doing, the choices I remember making. We’ll spend 5-weeks discussing The Last Ballad together, breaking down the craft elements at work in the novel and the decisions I made. Each workshop will close with an assignment to get you writing on your own. Workshops will be held from 4:00-5:30 pm DST on Sundays beginning Feb. 11 and ending March 10. Workshops will be recorded and shared for those who can’t attend live. Please come to the first workshop having read and ready to discuss The Last Ballad.
